Gather years of family-history stories into one book
Retired genealogist Thomas Jay Kemp posted on X that he asked Grok Bot to collect the family stories he'd written over the years on FamilySearch and his blog, remove duplicates, sort them, and assemble them into one book. He says a job he expected to take a year was done in a day.
What they did
After decades of daily genealogy research, and with health issues that make hand work harder, he planned to spend the next year pulling his stories together for a second family-history volume. Instead he asked Grok Bot to do the gathering and consolidating. By his count it pulled about 6,000 stories from FamilySearch and 2,000 from his blog.
How it went
He calls it a massive game changer, because someone who can no longer do the work by hand can still finish it. The post doesn't show the finished book, and the counts are his own.
Worth knowing
Seasoned Prompts is itself curated with Grok Bot, so we're flagging that connection. Only gather writing that's yours, and read the assembled book for duplicates and errors before printing.

Over many years I've written family-history stories in [places, e.g., my blog at (link) and my FamilySearch profile]. Collect every story I wrote, remove duplicates, and list them in a table with title, date, family line, and link. Then propose a book outline grouped by [family line or era]. Don't change my wording, and show me the outline before you assemble anything.
